The summer months have been extremely busy at the Food Pantry. We have served record numbers of people during the months of August and September.

In August we served 331 families totalling 864 people. During August alone I purchases the following items:

336 loaves of bread, 250 cans of pasta, 432 boxes of Mac & Cheese, 264 jars of Peanut Butter, 150 packs of hot dogs, 150 packs of bologna, 108 bags of  cereal,

120 boxes of Hamburger helper , plus many cases of vegetables, and fruit.  All of these items were in addition to the items donated by churches and purchased

with Gift cards donated by individuals and churches and the retail food donations by Needler’s, Lil Caesar’s and Harvest Market.   As you can see the need is great and I would encourage

Main Street Wesleyan to pick up cans of Pasta each time you go to the  Grocery store.  I appreciate the faith of the Ministerial that gives me $1665.00 a month

to purchase food but in August and September I was over budget by nearly $1000.00 both months.
